FMTF Participates in Springfield Art Association's

2013 Personalities Paint Event

Flea Market To Fabulous is participating in the 2013 9th Annual Personalities Paint event sponsored by the Springfield Art Association. The fundraiser, which features an art auction, cash bar, and hors d'oeuvres, is held each year to raise money for their programs and operations.

This year, the event is honoring the 100th Anniversary of the SAA. Every artist who has shown in their gallery over the years was invited to create something to be sold at the event. According to their website, the most interesting pieces will be auctioned, while the remaining pieces will be sold at a fixed price.

FMTF Owner Jodi Cole has created some incredible artwork made from the lids of paint cans she repurposed.

The event will be held Sat., April 20 from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are $25 and are available in advance at the Springfield Art Association or at the door.

FMTF Participates in SHG's Dough For Dresses

Sacred Heart-Griffin High School in Springfield, Ill. hosted "Dough for Dresses" Feb. 15-16 and Flea Market To Fabulous played an integral part. FMTF Owner Jodi Cole donated an antique vanity custom painted by FMTF's very own Nancy Viola. "We were excited to be a part of this year's event," Cole said. "The vanity really made the event alot of fun." Hosted by two SHG mothers, the sale was organized in a consignment platform and open to the public so that anyone could sell their used formal, prom, graduation, and homecoming dresses and buy the same for less than what they would spend buying retail. Forty percent of the purchase price was donated to the school. Sellers received the remaining 60%. Accessories were also available for sale.
